Brazil Real Ends Stronger On Improved Outlook

BRASILIA–Brazil’s real gained ground against the dollar to end slightly stronger Friday, as improved local and overseas outlooks and higher commodity prices helped lift the currency.

The real exited regular trading at BRL2.0138 to the dollar after ending at BRL2.0181 to the dollar Thursday, according to Tullett Prebon via Factset.

Traders noted the currency edged higher during the session as upbeat data helped reinforce expectations for increasing dollar inflows.
